Works great with dry food, but gets a bit messy with canned food. Otherwise, it's a useful bowl.

A lifesaver for our retriever

Baks, our Golden, has always been a speed-eater — burping right after dinner, sometimes vomiting it back up within minutes. Bowl after bowl, nothing helped until this one. It's the depth of the maze that does it; he's stuck working the kibble out of the grooves for a solid quarter hour instead of two gulps. A week in and the vomiting was just gone. He does try gnawing on the edges once he's licked everything clean, but the plastic hasn't given at all. Honestly relieved — feels like he actually eats now instead of just gulping it down without chewing.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for the detailed story. We are so glad the bowl helped Baks get rid of his digestive issues.

Susanne D.July 19, 2026

The pattern inside is complex. The dog really has to work hard to get all the wet food out.

Julia S.July 14, 2026

Got the purple bowl for my Labrador, the color is nice and it doesn't look like a child's toy in the kitchen.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your review, we are pleased that the color and look of the bowl suited your interior.

Tobias G.July 9, 2026

The feeder is perfect for a large dog. My pet loves the process of foraging for the kibble.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your comment. It's great that your pet took a liking to this model.

Tobias G.July 4, 2026

Bought one to try out, now I'll order a second one for the country house.

Julien D.June 29, 2026

I liked that you can choose the difficulty level. We started with the Slower one, and the dog adjusted calmly.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review. Gradually adjusting the difficulty helps your pet get used to the bowl without stress.

Anna S.June 25, 2026

The color is bright, making the bowl easy to spot among the dog's stuff in the car after a walk.

Carlos M.June 20, 2026

Even chunky wet food gets distributed into the sections, so the dog doesn't just gulp it all down at once.

Laura H.June 15, 2026

The purple color looked paler in the photo; in person, it's bright. Otherwise, no complaints, getting a second one.

Thomas K.June 10, 2026

The maze genuinely slowed down my Labrador; the burping is almost gone. Downside: wet food gets stuck in the corners.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review. For wet food, we recommend immediately rinsing the bowl with warm water; this makes it easier for leftovers to come out of the textured surface.

Giulia B.June 6, 2026

The ridges aren't sharp. My dog aggressively licks the bottom, and his nose and tongue are perfectly fine.

Sarah W.June 1, 2026

After wet food, the bowl washes out with no issues. The plastic is smooth and doesn't hold onto smells.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your review, we are glad the material proved convenient for daily care.

Marie K.May 27, 2026

The purple plastic didn't stain from wet food with carrots, even though I was worried it would.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for sharing this observation about caring for the bowl after wet food.

Sabine L.May 23, 2026

We got the medium difficulty level for our Shepherd. She started eating much calmer right away, without swallowing air.

Andrea N.May 18, 2026

It weighs practically nothing, yet it's very stable. The plastic feels nice to the touch.

Maxime R.May 14, 2026

Meals used to end with our retriever bringing it all back up more often than not. That's happened a lot less since we switched to this bowl.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your review. We are glad the slower feeding pace has improved your pet's daily comfort.

Marco R.May 9, 2026

One package is enough, didn't need to buy anything extra. Took it out, washed it, and started using it right away.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your review, we are glad the setup was straightforward and convenient from day one.

Laura H.May 5, 2026

Got the Slower level for my Beagle: the food doesn't disappear in a minute anymore. But for the first two days, he was frustrated.

Piotr K.April 30, 2026

Large kibble doesn't get stuck completely; the dog gets it out himself without any help.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your review. It's important that the maze slows down the food but remains understandable for the pet.

Sophie L.April 26, 2026

On the Slow setting, the bowl was perfect for my senior dog. He eats slower but doesn't get tired.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review, we are glad the gentler difficulty level was comfortable for your older pet.

Julia S.April 21, 2026

For our large dog, the portion fits fine, but the bowl takes up more space against the wall than I expected.

Andreas P.April 17, 2026

The bowl is wide, so the Boxer's snout doesn't get stuck, but he still has to work to get the food out.

Stefan M.April 13, 2026

The pattern is more complex than in our old bowl, and the dog eats noticeably calmer. It does take longer to wash, yes.

Camille T.April 8, 2026

I wash it after every feeding with a regular sponge, and it fits perfectly fine between all the ridges.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review. Regular washing with a sponge helps keep the bowl clean during daily use.

Lisa C.April 4, 2026

I got it as a beginner level for my puppy. It holds enough food for a full portion.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review. We wish your puppy healthy growth and good eating habits.

Sanne de J.March 31, 2026
Helped our beagle

Martin is a beagle, so naturally dinner used to be gone in under sixty seconds, followed by him wandering around burping for the next ten minutes. We've had the Fernpaw bowl in rotation for his evening meal for about a week and a half now. He actually has to trace the maze with his tongue to get anything out, which slows him right down. No more mad dash to the water bowl afterward either — he just settles. Would happily buy a second one.

Andreas P.March 27, 2026

The ridges are quite deep, so the dog has to make an effort to get the food out. Fun to watch.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. We're glad feeding has become not only useful but also an engaging process for your dog.

Christian F.March 23, 2026

The walls are just tall enough to keep her floppy ears out of the wet food without making it awkward for her to reach in.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review. We're glad the wall height turned out to be convenient for your pet.

Michal N.March 18, 2026

After a regular bowl, the difference is immediately noticeable: more sniffing, less swallowing air.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for sharing the comparison with a regular bowl; it's helpful for other customers.

Bram K.March 14, 2026

With wet food, the maze works even better than I expected; the pieces don't fly out.

Thomas K.March 10, 2026

Dinner has become noticeably calmer for our shepherd: the ridges really stop her from gulping everything down at once.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review. We're glad the maze helped make feeding calmer for a large dog.

Sarah W.March 6, 2026

No more post-dinner burping fits or hiccup attacks — whatever the maze design is doing, it's actually working for us.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your purchase. We're very glad the bowl helped improve your pet's digestion.

Michael B.March 2, 2026

The plastic is sturdy, and there was no smell. It's a pity the bowl sometimes slides on smooth tile.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for mentioning the material. If the floor is very smooth, you can place the bowl on a silicone mat; that usually solves the slipping.

Lisa C.February 26, 2026

The plastic feels sturdy, the edges are smooth, and my husky didn't scratch her nose.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for noting the quality of the edge finishing and your pet's comfort.

Maxime R.February 22, 2026

The purple color is pleasant, not too bright. But marks from pate are visible on it after washing.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your comment. After wet food, it's best to use a soft brush to remove residue from the ridges and keep the color looking neat.

Antoine L.February 19, 2026

The bowl is lightweight, easy to move between the kitchen and the balcony, but the shape doesn't feel flimsy.

Markus T.February 15, 2026

The maze is high, the kibble doesn't just sit in a pile on top, and the dog has to work with his nose and tongue.

Christian C.February 11, 2026

I got the hardest level for my Great Dane. Now instead of one minute, he eats for about ten.

Markus T.February 7, 2026

Easy to wash in the sink. It's a great item, with a smooth surface and no sharp corners.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your review. Ease of care is truly important in everyday use.

Andrea N.February 3, 2026

It worked better than a regular bowl for wet pate: I spread it thinly, and the dog eats without rushing.

Matthias V.January 31, 2026

Feeding has become slower, though not ten times slower like I hoped. Still, there is a result.

Daan V.January 27, 2026

For a medium-sized dog, the size is more than enough; I don't have to add more food halfway through the meal.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review. We're glad the bowl's capacity is enough for a full feeding.

Christian C.January 24, 2026

It holds exactly four cups of dry food. That's now more than enough for my Labrador's lunch.

Katharina R.January 20, 2026

The main win for us is that our retriever isn't queasy after meals anymore. Only gripe is that the tiniest pieces of kibble tend to disappear into the narrower channels and take a bit of hunting to clean out.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for sharing your experience. For small kibble, you can gently shake the bowl after filling it so the food spreads more evenly through the paths.

Steffi A.January 16, 2026

The depth is good, and the kibble doesn't fly all over the kitchen. Only our shepherd's nose catches on the central ridges.

Michael B.January 13, 2026

I pour dry food into the deep grooves, and my dog searches for the kibble and eats much more slowly.

Steffi A.January 10, 2026

I liked that it's suitable for both wet and dry food. But drying the ridges after washing is inconvenient.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review. After washing, you can place the bowl upright on a drying rack so the water drains out of the maze paths faster.

Christian F.January 6, 2026

It doesn't weigh much, but it doesn't slide all over the floor if you place it on a mat under the bowls.

Matthias V.January 3, 2026

The large diameter is convenient: our dog doesn't push the bowl with his paw, and it stands steadily on the tile.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review. We're glad the base size turned out to be convenient for your floor.

Nathalie C.December 31, 2025

He used to practically gag himself trying to eat so quickly. These days it takes him a while to finish, and he hasn't thrown up once since we started using it.

Nathalie C.December 28, 2025

I got the Slower version, it's challenging enough for my teenage puppy, he doesn't get frustrated and finishes his food calmly.

SilviaDecember 24, 2025

For a medium-sized dog, the size is even a bit too large, the food doesn't scatter. I would love to see portion marks inside.

SilviaDecember 21, 2025

A portion for a large dog fits perfectly, nothing spills over the edge.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for pointing out the capacity, this is very important when feeding large breeds.

Stefan M.December 18, 2025

The 30 by 30 size fits perfectly in the tray. It hasn't tipped over once during feeding.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your comment. Stability was indeed one of our main priorities when designing this.

Lars O.December 15, 2025

Because greyhounds eat with their heads so low to the ground, we needed something with enough of a rim to contain wet food, and this one does the job without him making a mess.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review, we're glad the rim height worked out well for feeding wet food.

Agnieszka W.December 12, 2025

It's best to use a mat on laminate flooring, but the bowl itself is super, mealtime has become much quieter.

Viktor S.December 10, 2025

The plastic is high-quality and sturdy, the dog couldn't chew through it. Excellent item.

Pieter M.December 7, 2025

The pattern isn't too easy, my dog was puzzled for the first few days, but then quickly got the hang of it.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your review, easy adaptation to the maze pattern usually helps keep the pet interested in their food.

Erik J.December 4, 2025
Calmer after meals

Our Cane Corso is still young but already eats like it's a competitive sport — his old bowl would be licked clean almost the second we set it down. This one actually has enough surface area to spread a big portion across the whole maze, so he's forced to work section by section instead of one big gulp. A handful of feedings in, we noticed the drooling afterward tapered off, and he's stopped pestering us for more food five minutes later like clockwork.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for the detailed description. We are glad the capacity and maze were a good fit for your Cane Corso's peaceful feeding.

Viktor S.December 1, 2025

For our fast eater, the Slowest level was just right, dinner takes much longer now.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review, we're glad the chosen difficulty level suited your pet.

Nicolas R.November 29, 2025

The depth is sufficient for our Doberman, he doesn't rake the food out onto the floor like he used to.

Uwe T.November 26, 2025

The maze shape keeps our dog occupied, he doesn't eat like a vacuum cleaner anymore. But now the cat also comes over to check out the bowl.

Susanne D.November 24, 2025

In the morning, I pour in a full portion, the food distributes evenly in the maze and doesn't get stuck in one corner.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your review, even distribution helps the pet eat more calmly and for a longer time.

Felix W.November 22, 2025

It actually turned breakfast into a game for our Border Collie, but without any stress, he gets every single kibble out.

Anna K.November 20, 2025

Bought this for my large mutt, the bowl's width is a perfect fit, his snout fits inside comfortably.

Fernpaw reply

Hello. Thank you for your review, we are glad the bowl size turned out to be comfortable for a large dog.

Uwe T.November 18, 2025

There was one bowl in the box, it arrived without any damage. For this price, it would be nice to have a storage lid.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your feedback. The set includes only the bowl itself, and we will pass your comment about the lid on to our merchandising team.

Hannah B.November 16, 2025
Stress-free transition

My German Shepherd, Nora, is wary of new things, so at first I put a few treats in the shallower sections. After two days, she was already calmly eating her regular portion from the maze. I especially like that the bowl is large and doesn't turn dinner into an overly difficult task. We are keeping it for daily feeding.

Maria C.November 14, 2025
Worked for our Labrador

Rocky's always been the type to finish breakfast before I've even put the bag away, especially with dry kibble. The ridges in this bowl catch the pieces so he's picking them out one at a time rather than scooping mouthfuls. We run level three in the evening and drop it down a notch some mornings when we're in a rush. He brings food back up far less often now, and honestly I'm already planning to grab a second one to keep in the car for trips.

Sergio P.November 13, 2025

The bowl is lightweight, easy to carry between the kitchen and the terrace. But the puppy did knock the empty one over a couple of times.

Alejandro G.November 11, 2025

The design with circular tracks suited our dog perfectly, he doesn't flip the bowl over with his nose.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for your review, we're glad the maze pattern turned out to be comfortable for your pet.

Chloe M.November 10, 2025
Dinner without rushing

Luna would practically vacuum her kibble and end up with hiccups every single time — it got to be a running joke in the house. The purple bowl spreads everything through the grooves so she can't just scoop it all in one go, she has to hunt each piece down. Two weeks of using it morning and night and she's noticeably calmer at mealtime, plus there's barely any scattered kibble around the bowl anymore like there used to be.

Fernpaw reply

Good afternoon. Thank you for sharing your comprehensive experience. We are glad the bowl helped Luna eat slower and leave less food around.
