I picked up kittens from a shelter in it, they really liked it. Now two 1.5 kg kittens can easily fit there, there is still plenty of space, a 4.5 kg cat will definitely fit in there too. The straps are easy to adjust and the extra section folds out easily to give your cats more room to play. The mesh is excellent - you can see the cats through it (and they can see the street), and at the same time they are safe. I have already walked them outside several times, the backpack is strong and stable, so the cats are comfortable inside.
Thank you for your detailed review. We are glad that the backpack turned out to be spacious for kittens, comfortable for walks and safe thanks to the mesh.
This is the best thing I've ever bought to carry my cat. We go hiking and have tried a bunch of different bags and backpacks, and this one is just right. It's durable, the mesh is great quality, it's summer, and my cat gets enough light and a fresh breeze while he's sitting inside. Another important feature is the internal strap that clings to the collar and prevents it from jumping out! I took the size Large, great for medium/large cats. The retractable part is durable. The lightning works great. And it’s really comfortable to walk with him.
Thank you for such a vivid experience. It’s great that the backpack is suitable for hiking, it is well ventilated and the internal strap adds peace of mind while walking.
A couple of years ago we bought that same plastic porthole backpack, used it only for trips to the vet, and that’s it. Carrying it around is a complete pain due to its strange shape, and there is nowhere to store it at all due to its rigid frame. We were planning a trip, we decided that we needed a new carrier for two cats at once, and we took two of these backpacks. The quality is simply awesome! It’s great that it folds completely, you can even stuff it into a drawer or into the corner of a closet, but we almost never fold it, because cats love to jump in there and hang out with the rear part unfolded. What else do you need from a carrier if cats are delighted with it? The mesh is strong and has withstood biting and scratching, although we try to make sure cats don't do this. The straps are comfortable, the back does not get tired. If you fold the back, the backpack can be laid on its side like a regular carrier, which is also great. It fits perfectly in the car and works as a cozy home on the road. And the fact that upon arrival it turns into a mini-apartment for cats is generally a huge plus. Worth every penny! If it could somehow expand even more, or if you could hook two together to put a small tray and make a larger enclosure, that would be just perfect.
Thanks for the hard-carry comparison. We are glad that the folding backpack turned out to be more convenient to store and the cats liked it so much that they themselves rest in it.
Initially I took it as a backpack for traveling, but it became something more. We leave it in the living room and the cat just loves it. He constantly plays there - tumbles, tears at the net, chews on the edges - and there is not a scratch on him. The strength is unreal! Even though we don't go camping, this is now our main carry bag. Since she already loves to sleep and play there, getting her into the car is not a problem at all. Works as a play tunnel, a bed and a spacious car carrier all in one. If you need a high-quality, multifunctional item that can survive “cat chaos,” this is what you need!
Thank you! It’s very nice that the carrier has become not only a backpack for the cat for trips, but also a favorite place at home, and the mesh and edges have withstood play.
I never write reviews, but after this backpack I decided to share. I adopted a kitten during the pandemic and wanted to take her outdoors safely since she is purely domestic. I searched for months, watched a bunch of videos on YouTube about the best backpacks and eventually bought another popular brand, but it was not what I expected. The sides were flimsy, the back was thin, and there was absolutely zero lumbar support. But there was a rain hood. I have no affiliation with any of these brands, just a newbie in the cat business, ready to take on the world with my kitty. Now about the pros and cons of this backpack. Pros: Arrived in chic packaging. Very cool. Easy to assemble, there were instructions but didn't even need them. I love the side pockets! An iPhone and a couple of other little things fit in. The back is tight and is holding up well so far. The mesh that flips out at the back is cool and really roomy. This is a huge plus because most backpacks do not extend, leaving the cat only to sit in the front. Cons: The only serious drawback is that the lower frame of the backpack is hard (see photo) and cuts into the back. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but it really hurts a little. (This is the main problem). The material of the straps seems flimsy, it would be better if they were made of that gray fabric, it is stronger, but apparently the mesh breathes better. The mesh seemed a little thin, but so far it seems ok. There were small jambs on the side seams (yes, I’m being picky, but you need an honest review), the threads can be torn off, but I don’t know if the seam will come apart later. I haven't written to the seller yet. There is no sun visor on top for the cat, like in my previous backpack (I have to carry an umbrella with me). Overall, the backpack is good, I'm glad I bought it for my cat. I'm training her to use a clicker, so far so good. She's already like a pro. I hope the review was useful, I recommend it for purchase. There are plenty of backpacks on the market, and there are cheaper ones too, so if you're on a budget, you'll find something to suit your budget.
Thank you for your honest and detailed review. We're glad that the rigid frame and pockets were useful; if there are points that interfere with use, write to us at support@fernpaw.store.
Ideal for a cat, mine feels much more relaxed in it than in a regular cage. Add. the section does not fold, even if carried by the handles. My cat is still not a fan of car trips, but he was much more comfortable in this backpack than in a plastic carrier, there was more room to move. 5 out of 5 stars!
Thank you! We are glad that the cat is calmer and more spacious in the backpack than in a regular plastic carrier.
Nice carry! The quality of the zippers is good. There is plenty of space for a 5.5 kg cat. The straps are secure, plus there are two fasteners at the front for back support. I already had a similar one, and there this tent was hidden behind another zipper, so I had to pull out the cat to unfold it... here I like that the tent has been updated - it just folds down without an extra zipper... it has become much easier to unfold. There is also a reflective strip for safety in the dark. In general, the thing is made conscientiously and thought out. Several doors (side and back) make it easy for the cat to get in and out. I highly recommend it!
Thanks for the details. It's great that zippers, straps, back support and a more convenient folding section made carrying more practical.
I'm delighted, absolutely amazing thing. The hard bottom is the perfect floor for my cat, he can stand or lie quietly without falling through, and it can be easily removed for cleaning. The backpack is stable, bulky, but comfortable for both me and him. All zippers work perfectly, there are two of them on each hole: one regular and one with a lock, apparently so that your furry friend cannot open it with his paw. The number and size of pockets are perfect, one side easily fits a water bottle and poop bags, the other side holds over 20 Churu treats, a calming spray, a leash and another roll of poop bags, and there's even room to spare. The folding backrest is easy to install, and it’s very comfortable for my 5.5 kg cat to stretch out and relax there while we sit. The safety leash is adjustable and suited us perfectly. The cat has enough space to move and turn, he doesn’t get confused in it. The warning said that there might be a strange smell, but I didn’t notice anything like that. It smelled like plastic, like most new, freshly unpacked things. The only thing I wish was that the straps had D-rings so you could attach a first aid kit and water bowl. Overall, the purchase is definitely worth the money.
Thank you for such a detailed review. We are glad that the hard bottom, stability, pockets and fastening zippers make trips more convenient and calmer.
I use this backpack to carry my poodle and also fold out an extra section for her to sleep in. We are delighted!
Thank you! We are very glad that the backpack suited your poodle both as a carrier and as a place to sleep with the section unfolded.
Excellent, thoughtful design, good zippers. The straps are a bit thin, but they do the job.
Thank you! We're glad you liked the design and zippers; The remark about thin straps was taken into account.
With this backpack, I feel much more comfortable taking my cats outside. It was always terribly inconvenient and somehow scary to walk with a regular carrier, but with a backpack everything is much simpler. It has good ventilation, plenty of space and lots of details that make it very practical. Both for trips to the veterinarian and for short trips, this is simply a brilliant solution. I highly recommend!!!
Thanks for your feedback. It’s great that with a backpack you feel calmer on the street, and the cats have enough space and ventilation.
A very durable and functional backpack for a small dog!
Thank you! We are glad that the backpack turned out to be durable and comfortable for a small dog.
Practical backpack for pets. Durable, well sewn, decent quality and pleasant and light in itself. We are very pleased with this thing :-)
Thank you for your nice review. It's great that the backpack is light, durable and well-made.
