I recently bought this thing because I just couldn’t stand the ringing of my dog’s address cards, and the difference is enormous! No noise at all, exactly what I needed. It was super easy to attach and holds securely. The silicone seems durable, although I don't expect it to last forever, but so far it's holding up great. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a simple solution to eliminate dog tag noise.
Thank you! We are glad that the fastener eliminated the ringing of the address cards and at the same time easily attached to the collar.
We have several different seasonal collars. Previously, changing them was a complete pain. With this fastener everything has become easier than ever.
It's great that there is now less fuss with seasonal collars. Thank you for noting the convenience of quickly transferring tags.
Wow, so easy to use. Excellent quality and clear instructions. The main reason for the purchase was that it was annoying to remove the vaccination and registration tags from the tight rings. And with this thing, you just unscrew the nut and change the tags when necessary.
Thank you, we are glad that the fasteners saved us from suffering with tight rings. The ability to quickly unscrew and change tags really makes life a lot easier.
Works exactly as described. Very durable, easy to assemble. The only thing is that the rubber part covers some information on the address card, so if someone finds my dog, they will have to move/turn the rubber band to read everything.
Thank you for the honest nuance about the rubber part and the information on the address card. We are glad that the rest of the fasteners are strong and work as advertised.
We took this thing because our dog sometimes caught his claws on the usual ring from the address card. The fact that the tags stopped ringing is a nice bonus, although we weren’t really looking for it. The fasteners cope. We only have one token hanging, so I can’t say how long it will last maximum, but there were no problems. The only minor problem is that the rubber pad sometimes falls off. We just pull it back, and everything is ok, but I’m worried that over time it will no longer hold properly.
We understand the concern about the lining, which sometimes falls off. If it starts to hold up worse, write to us at support@fernpaw.store - we’ll help you figure it out.
This is an excellent muffler. I've tried several different ones and I'm glad I found this one. Pros: Firstly, it is easy to use. You remove the rubber plug, unscrew it, and add or remove tags. Secondly, he looks cool. I mean, it’s not conspicuous, and the dog doesn’t have some strange thing hanging around his neck. It is still clear that this is an address book. Thirdly, it works! No more ringing. Although I even like this ringing during the day, I am so happy not to hear it at night. Fourth, it's durable. Between all my hyperactive dog's antics and even the fact that his new puppy sister constantly chews on this thing, he's holding up just fine. I've had other mufflers break before. It is clear that over the years this one can break, but metal rings also break (this has happened to me). Fifthly, it fits all my dog tags (up to 4 pieces, and it seems like one more could fit). Cons: Firstly, the rubber covers some of the information. I’m not sure that a passerby will immediately understand that you need to remove the plug to get to the screw. But honestly, I couldn’t have come up with a better design, and if someone really needs the info from the tag, I’ll be all for it if they even cut the rubber band just to contact me. Secondly (and I’m not sure if this is a downside), tags with tiny holes may not fit. I had an old address card from Etsy that had to be replaced because the hole was too small. I took it out when this muffler arrived, but it still didn’t fit. Why this is not necessarily a minus: it’s all about the strength of the screw. If it were thinner, it would hardly be as reliable, so in the end I choose peace of mind over the safety of the tags.
Thank you for such a detailed list of pros and cons. We are glad that the fasteners can withstand an active dog and puppy, and the nighttime ringing has finally disappeared.
This thing is just great. It's very simple. A small screw, a nut and a rubber boot. The ringing of dog address cards terribly infuriates me. And this fastener pulls all the tags together, and there is no noise. My last dog carried this one for 8 years. Very easy to change from one collar to another. No tools are needed and no need to break your nails when hanging a new tag. I got a new dog and his hardware is ready to use. If you hate the sound of tags ringing, this is for you! That old fastener, which is 8 years old, still works, but I gave it to a friend.
Thank you, we are glad that the fasteners came to the rescue again and saved us from the ringing of tags. It’s especially nice to hear that the last one lasted so long.
It works great, the tags on the collar no longer hit each other, that’s what it’s really for. It’s easy to use once you figure it out (the packaging shows how to install everything), and it’s just as quick and easy to remove or hang on another collar. What’s also cool is that it keeps all the tags in one stack (and not individually, as it would be without it), so nothing gets tangled when hanging. The quality appears to be excellent and made to last. A reliable, simple and useful thing, with which I don’t worry that the tags will fall off or are poorly secured - in my opinion, for this peace of mind alone it’s worth taking. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, but everything works great, I plan to use it for a very long time.
Thanks for the details on installation and transfer to another collar. We are glad that the tags are now kept in one pile and do not jingle.
I hate the sound of my dog's collar ringing and now I don't have to listen to it! So glad I found this stuff. Works perfect. No sounds at all and holds very tightly. It's been hanging on the collar for several weeks now and nothing has fallen apart. Good quality, definitely recommend
Thank you! We are very glad that the fasteners have eliminated the annoying ringing and have been holding firmly for several weeks.
I bought it because on group walks with dogs all I hear is these tags ringing. I wanted to hang an address card for her so that it would not interfere with either her or us. This thing is simply perfect and the only one of its kind on the market. I recommend it, it's worth the money. I had to look online as this product is not particularly well known in the UK. I will order a second one.
Thank you for finding us even after searching the Internet. We are glad that the holder is suitable for group walks and does not interfere with either the dog or you.
Works great, tag no longer rings and nothing is broken even though it's been a year.
Thank you! It’s great that the fasteners have been eliminating the ringing for a year now and remain intact.
Perfect for my dogs tags and does a great job of eliminating that metallic clanging noise. We've been using it for a month now, the tokens are holding securely. Worth the money.
Thank you, we are glad that the tokens are securely held and the metal clanging is gone. It's nice to know that the purchase paid off.
My dogs are big and strong (over 35 kg). I bought them these mounts because they broke the old ones (classic key rings), and I didn’t want to risk them running out of the house without address cards. I studied a bunch of options, and this one convinced me, although its main feature is to remove the ringing when the tag hits the collar. They've been wearing it for about 2 months now, and since the tag no longer rings, it doesn't attract their attention and they don't try to chew it off. She has never flown off, but they love to run around the park, fight each other and get into the water. Update: After a year, these mounts are like new. Never got lost. The dogs now weigh more than 40 kg and are just as active.
Thanks for the detailed experience with large active dogs. We are glad that the mounts survived the park, water and games, and the address markers remained in place even after a year.
