My Labrador Rex really struggles once it climbs past 35 degrees outside — five minutes in and he'd just stop walking. Now I fill a basin, dunk the vest, wring it out until it's just damp, and he's set for almost an hour of activity without slowing down. Sweltering heat walks used to be a problem until I found this. The layered fabric stays surprisingly light even soaked through, so my Labrador barely notices he's wearing anything. No complaints here — we'll make it through the winter fine, and I'll be reordering when the weather turns hot again.

My Doberman has short fur and heats up almost instantly outdoors, so I wasn't sure this would help — but it does. The fabric does what it claims: it cools as long as it's damp. This works on a simple idea — soak the fabric and let air passing through cool it as the water evaporates — and it's noticeably cut down on how much he stops to pant. It's become part of our evening walk routine now. Got the large-breed size and it fits well; the seams still look solid after regular use, nothing coming apart. If this one ever wears out I'll just buy another.
