Window hammock for cats

I was looking for a cat hammock for our large cat who loves to watch birds. This one was recommended to me by a friend who has 4 cats constantly lying around in it together. She tried a bunch of different brands that kept falling off, but this one holds tight. She said: “I think the weight of my cats is more likely to cause the window to fall out than for the suction cups to come off.” The stated weight limit is 40 pounds (18 kg), so knowing that I have a large cat (we recently weighed it - almost 11 kg), I took it for Binks in November 2023 for the first Christmas in our new apartment. Once it arrived, it was super easy to assemble. It's just a PVC frame, stretched material like for street furniture, a cable and a suction cup fastening system. I was really impressed by how powerful the suction cups are. They hung it on the front window, and it's still hanging there, not even moving a millimeter. It’s really reassuring that the cat can sleep peacefully without the risk of napping. The set also included a soft blanket with ties that can be removed and washed, it’s pure love. It’s more comfortable for the cat, and it’s easier for me to clean. I also appreciated the minimalistic design. The neutral color seems to merge with the window, and you completely forget that it is there. And the price is just great! They paid about 20 bucks for it, which is a fairy tale. In general, we have been using it for almost 2 years now, and it is still like new. My mom recently moved into a new house and asked what kind of hammock I bought for Binks, so I went to my order history to send her the link and decided I should leave a review too! I definitely recommend this hammock to all cat lovers who are looking for a window bed!

UPDATE after almost a year: I'm afraid to jinx it, but the bed on the window is holding up perfectly. The only thing worth mentioning is that the PVC pipe closer to the window sagged a little, but this does not seem to affect the overall strength of the structure, most likely this is due to the fact that my fat cats constantly lean against the window. I will buy this bed again! /End Update I had SUPER low expectations for this thing, firstly because (1) our cats are 8 pound monsters, (2) I'm leery of suckers, and (3) cats aren't the most... appreciative creatures when it comes to furniture BOUGHT SPECIFICALLY FOR THEM. But I worried in vain. The bed was easy to assemble, I had to tinker a little with the suction cups, it looks surprisingly cool, nothing has fallen off yet (it’s been hanging for more than 5 months), and the fluffies are delighted. Our plump cat really liked it and hangs out there every day. It really helped to thoroughly wash and dry the window before sculpting the suction cups. As for aesthetics, I think this design would also work great as a hanging flower shelf, so maybe I’ll buy another one for that purpose later. In short, great product! Definitely recommend, approved by the mother of two fat cats!

Update: This is an update after a year and a half. Nowadays, few things last that long, so I really felt the need to write a review again. good use of money! The support cables cannot be chewed through, and it has never fallen off. My cat chews everything and he tried so hard to gnaw through these fastenings, but there wasn’t even a trace left on them. This thing is definitely worth the money! Both my 6 kg cat and 4 kg cat love it. I've tried other window beds before and nothing could hold my fat guy for long. My big boy weighs about 6 kg and he is very long. I bought this thing for him because he loves to look out the window. He doesn't have many places to do that. As soon as I started collecting it, I immediately felt the quality. The large suction cups hold tightly and are super easy to stick to the window. My cat loves to chew on wires, and I really like that the cables here are super thick and durable, the cat won’t bite them. This was the first thing he tried to do when he jumped in, it took him a minute to get settled, but then he quickly calmed down and went to bed for the day. I'm definitely going to pick up a couple more of these to hang around the house! Just make sure the window is well clean when you hang it so the suction cups have a better grip.

My cat is very spoiled, so I often buy her random things. I bought this for the window, it didn’t really suit her. I don’t know exactly why, but I’ll tell you what I liked/disliked. Pros - suction cups work great; the cat weighs just over 4 kg, and the hammock doesn’t even move when she sits on it. Feels quite reliable and was easy to assemble. Disadvantages - the small rag that needs to be tied has too long ties for some reason, and it sits crookedly. It dangles very loosely and does not cover the entire mesh. And the hammock also interferes with closing the blinds, so if you don’t have long curtains, don’t count on privacy; you’ll have to constantly unstick it from the window. I wish there were some kind of hinges on the bottom so it could be folded. This is the only reason I give it 4 stars, otherwise, when the cat gets in there, she likes it, she’s just very picky and doesn’t jump in there herself.

I ordered 4 pieces, they have been in service for several years. They really stick tightly to the window and can withstand heavy cats.

My cat loves her hammock, I've had it for about 2 years and it's still strong, she jumps on it from time to time and it doesn't fall off, sometimes it happens, of course, but it's super easy to put back on, I 100% recommend it to all cat owners.

I'm absolutely delighted with this purchase. Great value for money, was easy to hang and my cat loves it. So far it's holding up great, no problems with the suction cups, and it's very easy to hang and adjust. The only problems arose due to the character/quirks of my cat, but I’ll share it here for other owners who may have the same pets. She loves to tear everything up and chewed one of the ties on the bed that came with the kit, but I hid it under the Velcro and there have been no problems since then. I saw her chewing on the hanging cable a couple of times, but it was very strong and held up. I will also say that be sure to check whether the window is locked during installation. Mine was missing, and the top part slid down, so the whole structure collapsed a couple of days after installation. Oops! This was my fault and has nothing to do with the quality of the product. Overall I'm very pleased with this item and highly recommend it.

Easy to assemble, strong and durable

It took the cat a while to get used to it, but now she loves it and uses it every day.

Fantastic solution, my cat just loves it! I advise you to periodically dip the suction cups in hot water for 5 minutes so that they stick better.
