Dog sniffing mat

We just discovered snuff mats! And this one is just super! Our dog injured her paw and can't run yet, so this is a WONDERFUL way to keep her brain busy and get her energy out! It’s made with high quality, it’s easy to use, and frankly, it looks cool! There are tons of hidden places to hide food, and she seems to LOVE finding every piece! Perfect as a bowl for slow eating. The rug is good quality, light, but at the same time dense, so it doesn’t easily wrinkle. Our girl is delighted, we highly recommend it.

We've had this rug since 2021 and it's still alive! So far this is the best rug we have found. We ordered two more online, but had to return them. the whole difference is in the materials. The AWOOF 28x28 is made from durable, hard-wearing material that actually holds up. We use it quite often now, and after all this time and probably hundreds of washes, it's still fine. Once I accidentally washed it on a high temperature, the fabric stretched a little, but it is still stronger than the other two. Our dog loves this rug, he never gets tired of it. The size is perfect for our Weimaraner. Convenient to use at home or roll up and take with you. The dog really likes the squeaker in the center and the rustling sounds in the leaves. cool thing to see a dog's search skills in action!

The mat is very cool, with a lot of different areas for 'sniffing'. Not everything was indicated in the description, I didn’t even understand that there was a beeper in the center. This is important for those whose dogs love to tear out and destroy these squeakers. I really liked the assembly straps, although my dog chewed them off and now you can’t change them without going to a shop to have new fasteners sewn on, but I’m so glad there’s no Velcro! It washes fine, although it takes a long time to dry, whether in the dryer or not. Holds up great with almost daily use!

This rug exceeded all my expectations. I have three small dogs. The size was enough for all three to fuss around in it with pleasure. It's very cute, my sister now orders one for hers too. Lightweight, but built to last, and thick enough to withstand heavy digging for tasty treats. So far it is easy to clean, just wipe with soap and water. I will machine wash them along with their blankets. It comes with straps so you can fold it up, put it away, or take it with you anywhere. There are sooo many hiding places for treats. I am confident in the safety of this rug because everything is sewn very tightly. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to give their dog a little something to do and have a hunt for treats. My three little boys are delighted. The two larger ones weigh 10 kg each, and the smallest one is only 4 kg, and his hind legs are paralyzed. But you should see how much they like it! Such a cool thing for my dog's breakfast! Lots of places to hide food, and it's very easy to just throw it in the folds. It's fast for me, but fun for the dog.

I have 4 puzzle feeders for my (large) mini Aussie and every time I hand wash them I want to cry. I decided to try a snuff mat and chose this one because of the ability to roll up the edges and zip it up. Oh, and a carrying handle. It arrived, I opened it and was pleasantly surprised at how big it was. Brooklyn weighs about 17 kg (she is 6 months old), and this mat (if properly filled with food) takes her exactly 11 minutes - she checks everything, rechecks, and then checks a third time until she is sure that she has found everything. Yes, I timed it. She eats a regular bowl in 45-50 seconds, so 11 minutes is incredible. It takes me about 5 minutes to scatter and hide the food, but it's worth it to give her a mental workout before bed. After such an adventure, she always passes out without her hind legs, lol. It's quite durable, I keep an eye on her as she eats, and when she's finished I make sure to pick it up and shake it out to make sure everything is eaten, then put it upstairs to dry before folding it up. She will never break him, because I don’t leave her alone with him, although I’m sure he could withstand a couple of her attempts. So I give it high marks for durability if used under supervision as it should be. Every Friday I throw it in the wash, so far I only use baking soda and hot water. I dry it in the air. I don't know if this is right, but it looks clean and doesn't stink 🤷🏻‍♀️ The only downside is that I can't use the little corner pockets because I know she'll tear them because her nose is wider than those triangular holes. Otherwise it would have added another minute to the meal, lol. But no matter, it has so much space that we are completely satisfied. Maybe I'll just open up these pockets so her nose can fit. I bought two more boring smaller rugs for breakfast and lunch, there's just a lot of fringe. They are also great if you fill them properly. They take about 5 minutes and are quicker to refill. I'm now officially a snuff mat fan. If you are in doubt, I highly recommend this one. The design and layout fits most noses well, the size allows for long meals, and washing and folding is a pleasure. We'll definitely buy another one as a reserve, in case it gets taken off sale!

My miniature schnauzer is simply THRILLED with this rug. We've had it for less than a day, and the dog begs for it to be refilled every time he eats it all. A great activity and puzzle for dogs that need something to do! The mat is very light, so it’s convenient to lay everything out on the table and then lower it to the floor. It is soft on the nose and does not rub. Quite decent in size! Well suited for medium and small dogs.

My dogs love this rug. Great for getting them to eat more slowly or just for finding treats.

Definitely recommend! We have a beagle mix who gets bored very quickly, but at the same time she is ready to do anything for food.. this snuffling mat is well suited to keep her busy and keep her away from mischief. As it is written in the description, it is durable, but not indestructible, she has already torn off a couple of small parts around the edges, but this is not critical. There are still plenty of hiding places, and the dogs are absolutely delighted. It's very easy to machine wash, and it folds up nicely so it doesn't get in the way. Two paws up.

This mat has tons of compartments where you can hide treats. My dog loves it, she really likes to sniff out food there. I recommend it to everyone whose dogs love to sniff and search for everything.

Great big snuff mat with lots of elements. Useful for keeping dogs occupied for a while by hiding food or cookies inside fabric strips and rings. I can’t give 5 stars because these rugs are quite expensive considering the materials and quality of sewing. I bought it anyway because I am always looking for some solutions for my dogs to keep them busy and entertained even when we are at home. Overall a good product.
