The fish comes to life at a touch of a paw: it starts flicking its tail and lights up. It keeps your cat busy when there is nobody to play with.
Inside the body there is a sensor and a small motor: as soon as a cat touches the fish with a paw, the tail starts moving and the body lights up with an LED — the movement and light trigger the hunting instinct and the cat plays on its own. The fish is light (29 g), easy to flick and chase across the floor; the manufacturer also shows it being played with in a bowl of water. This is a toy for solo play during the hours when you are out — it does not replace playing with a person, but it helps keep an indoor cat occupied. Please note: you cannot choose the pattern — the fish arrives in a random colour out of thirteen. It is a solo-play toy and does not replace walks or playing with a person.
